What is it?

Fertility Fundamentals | Man brings together three products for male preconception nutrition: Fundamental Man, CoQ10 200mg and Fundamental Omega-3. Together they provide core micronutrients, CoQ10 and essential fatty acids, with carefully chosen nutrient forms and meaningful daily doses. On Subscribe & Save, everything arrives together every month so your routine stays simple.

Who is it for?

Just starting to try
For men who want to take an active role in preparing for conception. Fertility Fundamentals | Man brings together a male-focused multinutrient, CoQ10 and high-strength omega-3 in one straightforward daily routine.

Preparing for IVF or fertility treatment
For men preparing alongside their partner for IVF or other fertility treatment. Fundamental Man provides zinc, which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, and selenium, which contributes to normal spermatogenesis, alongside CoQ10 and omega-3.

Men with known sperm challenges
For men who have been advised that their sperm count, motility or morphology could be better, or who simply want a more comprehensive approach to preconception nutrition. If you have an abnormal semen analysis or diagnosed fertility issue, supplements should sit alongside — not replace — advice from your clinic or doctor.

Men over 35
For men starting or continuing their fertility journey in their mid-thirties and beyond who want to give their own preconception nutrition the same attention as their partner’s. Three products bring together core micronutrients, CoQ10 and essential fatty acids in one routine.

How should I take it?

Fundamental Man
One capsule a day, with food.

CoQ10 200mg
One 200mg capsule twice daily, with food. CoQ10 is fat-soluble and absorbs best when taken with a meal containing some fat.

Fundamental Omega-3
Two capsules a day, with food.

Ideally, start around three months before trying to conceive or before providing a sperm sample for fertility treatment, to establish a consistent preconception routine.

What's inside?

Fundamental Man: nutritional foundation for sperm health
19 nutrients in one daily capsule, including zinc, which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, and selenium, which contributes to normal spermatogenesis. Carefully selected forms include zinc bisglycinate, 5-MTHF folate, methylcobalamin B12 and pyridoxal-5-phosphate B6. No magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide or synthetic fillers.

CoQ10 200mg: naturally-fermented ubiquinone
400mg CoQ10 per day, taken as two 200mg capsules. We use naturally fermented ubiquinone rather than chemically synthesised CoQ10, providing a meaningful standalone dose rather than adding a token amount to an all-in-one multinutrient.
View full ingredient list →

Fundamental Omega-3: high-strength EPA and DHA
1,100mg EPA + DHA per daily serving, providing 660mg EPA and 440mg DHA. Sourced from anchovies — small fish low on the food chain — and provided as a dedicated omega-3 rather than squeezing a small amount into an all-in-one formula.

How is it different?

The right forms, not just the right ingredients
Methylfolate rather than folic acid. Zinc bisglycinate rather than zinc oxide. Methylcobalamin B12 and P-5-P B6. Naturally fermented ubiquinone rather than chemically synthesised CoQ10. We paid attention to form as well as what went into the formula.

Doses that reflect the research
400mg CoQ10 daily and 1,100mg EPA + DHA. We use dedicated products where necessary so we can provide meaningful standalone amounts rather than squeezing token doses into an all-in-one multinutrient.

No unnecessary fillers
No magnesium stearate or silicon dioxide. We keep the formulations focused on what we actually want in the product.

Built to work together
Fundamental Man provides the core micronutrient foundation. CoQ10 adds a dedicated 400mg daily dose of naturally fermented ubiquinone. Omega-3 adds 660mg EPA and 440mg DHA. Three products, one straightforward preconception routine.

Inspired by our IVF journeyFertility Hero was born from our experience of six rounds of IVF — and the frustration of trying to make sense of supplements along the way. Every product in this set exists because finding the right things, in the right forms, at the right doses, was harder than it should have been.

"One thing our IVF journey made very clear to me was how much of the preparation seemed to focus on the woman. My husband was taking supplements too, but working out what he should take — and finding the right ingredients, forms and doses — was surprisingly complicated. Fertility Hero is about making that preparation simpler. Male fertility deserves proper attention too, and Fundamental Man was created to give men a straightforward way to take an active role in preparing for conception."

FAQ

When should I start?

Ideally, start around three months before trying to conceive or before providing a sperm sample for fertility treatment. Sperm development takes place over roughly this timeframe, so starting in advance gives you time to establish a consistent preconception routine.

How do I take everything?

Fundamental Man: one capsule a day, with food. CoQ10 200mg: one capsule twice a day, with a meal containing some fat (CoQ10 is fat-soluble and absorbs better this way). Fundamental Omega-3: two capsules a day, with food. All three can be taken together at the same meal if that's easier e.g. Fundamental Man + two omega-3 + one CoQ10 at breakfast, and one CoQ10 at dinner.

Can I take this alongside other supplements?

This set is designed as a comprehensive preconception foundation, so you shouldn't generally need to add another multivitamin on top. If you're taking other supplements, check the combined amounts to avoid unnecessarily doubling up on certain nutrients. If you're unsure, speak to your GP, pharmacist or a registered nutrition professional.

Do I need to take this if my semen analysis was normal?

A normal semen analysis is reassuring, but it only gives part of the picture. It measures things such as sperm concentration, movement and morphology; it doesn't directly assess every aspect of sperm health, such as sperm DNA fragmentation.

Fertility Fundamentals | Man is designed as a preconception supplement rather than something only for men with an abnormal semen analysis. It includes zinc, which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, and selenium, which contributes to normal spermatogenesis, alongside other micronutrients, CoQ10 and omega-3.

So if your semen analysis is normal, the aim isn't to “correct” a problem — it's to give your own nutritional preparation the same attention as the rest of your preconception routine.

What if I have known sperm challenges?

If you've been told you have a low sperm count, reduced motility or concerns about morphology, it's sensible to discuss the results with your GP or fertility clinic. Fertility Fundamentals | Man can form part of your wider preconception nutrition, providing zinc, which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, and selenium, which contributes to normal spermatogenesis, alongside other micronutrients, CoQ10 and omega-3.

Supplements shouldn't replace investigation or treatment of an identified fertility issue.

How is this different from a men's multivitamin?

It's built specifically around male preconception rather than being a general men's multivitamin. Fundamental Man provides 19 nutrients in one daily capsule, including zinc for normal fertility and reproduction and selenium for normal spermatogenesis.

CoQ10 and Omega-3 are separate because that lets us provide 400mg CoQ10 and 1,100mg EPA + DHA daily without trying to squeeze everything into one capsule. We also paid close attention to form, using ingredients including zinc bisglycinate, 5-MTHF folate, methylcobalamin B12 and naturally fermented ubiquinone.
