Real experiences with supplements

Chloe

We married in our late 30s and started trying for a baby straight away. After 6 months, we decided to try IVF. Sadly, we did multiple egg collections and frozen transfers which didn’t work. We changed clinics and saw a nutritionist who helped us both with scientifically backed supplements to support us, including CoQ10 and omega-3 from fish oil.

Our last transfer worked and we are now 38 weeks pregnant! We have no doubt that the supplements we took made all the difference in the outcome. Belinda and Chris are doing really important work in helping people to take charge of their fertility and they've been a source of knowledge for us as we embarked on the IVF journey sharing every bit of knowledge they'd gained to support us.

We were quite a long way down the road before any of our clinicians talked to us about what supplements we should consider taking, in fact it was only upon seeing the nutritionist that we started to have real discussions around it, and we wish we’d had those conversations sooner.

I've always known I wanted children. I'm single and knew I would need to use donor sperm to start my family. I did several rounds of IUI that didn’t result in pregnancy and one round of IVF that resulted in an early pregnancy loss. Belinda was so helpful in sharing her knowledge of the science of egg health. Before the next round of IVF I started taking high dose antioxidants including CoQ10, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, pine bark extract as well as 1000mg of omega-3 fatty acids. The results of the next cycle were much better and I now have a 3 month old daughter!
